Why LinkedIn QR codes work in B2B

LinkedIn is where buyers, candidates, and partners check credibility. A QR code turns a physical touchpoint (badge, slide, box, lobby sign) into a one tap path to the exact profile or company page you want them to see.

Splitting profile and company flows reduces mistakes. Recruiters rarely want a company homepage when they meant a hiring manager profile, and field marketing rarely wants a personal /in/ link when the goal is the brand page.

URLs we expect (www.linkedin.com)

Paste a full https://www.linkedin.com/in/… URL for people, or https://www.linkedin.com/company/… for organizations. Our profile and company pages validate the path so the encoded link matches your intent.

If LinkedIn gives you a localized host (for example a country subdomain), copy the canonical linkedin.com URL from the address bar when possible so the QR stays stable across regions.

School pages, newsletter links, and document links may not match /in/ or /company/. In those cases use the generic URL QR generator on this site.

Print and scan basics for events and offices

Use dark modules on a light background, leave a quiet zone around the code, and size it for the scanning distance. Conference badges need a smaller minimum than lobby wall graphics.

Test on both iOS and Android. LinkedIn may open in the app or the system browser depending on the device and whether the app is installed.

If you add a logo, raise error correction so partial coverage still scans.

How it works

  • Choose profile or company.
  • Paste a full LinkedIn URL or a path starting with /in/ or /company/.
  • Generate and download your QR code.

FAQ

Can I use a short link?

Paste the final linkedin.com URL if possible. Paths must include /in/ for profiles or /company/ for company pages.

What about Showcase pages?

Use the company flow if your URL uses /company/; otherwise try the generic URL QR type.

Do I need a LinkedIn account to generate the QR?

No. You only need the public URL you want encoded. Viewers who scan will use their own LinkedIn session.

Can I track scans?

A static QR stores one URL. Add UTM parameters on your own redirect domain if you need campaign analytics, or use LinkedIn analytics for page and post performance.
