Terms of Service: Rules for Using QR Crafter & Our Tools

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using QR Crafter at qr-crafter.com (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy are incorporated by reference and explain how we collect and use information, including for advertising.

Description of the service

QR Crafter provides browser-based tools to generate, scan, validate, test, and repair QR codes, along with related utilities. The service is provided free of charge unless we offer optional paid features in the future.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may display third-party advertisements (for example through Google AdSense). Ad content is provided by third parties; we do not endorse advertised products or services unless explicitly stated.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you use the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site.

• Do not use the Site for illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive activity.
• Do not generate QR codes that infringe intellectual property, violate privacy, or facilitate malware, phishing, or spam.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or circumvent security or rate limits.
• Do not upload or process content you do not have the right to use.
• Do not interfere with advertising measurement systems in ways that violate applicable law or the policies of our advertising partners.

Advertising and third-party services

The Site may display ads served by Google or other partners. Those parties may use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Your dealings with advertisers and any terms, conditions, warranties, or representations associated with such dealings are solely between you and the advertiser. We are not responsible for loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of such dealings or as the result of the presence of such advertisers on the Site.

Your content and responsibilities

You are responsible for the data and content you encode into QR codes and for any consequences of sharing or scanning them.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to use and share that content and that your use complies with applicable law and these Terms.

Intellectual property

QR Crafter, its branding, design, text, and software (except open-source components under their respective licenses) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without permission, except as allowed by law or open-source licenses where stated.

Third-party links and destinations

QR codes and ads may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, practices, or security. Use them at your own risk.

Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. QR code scanning and decoding depend on image quality, device capability, lighting, and other factors outside our control.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QR CRAFTER AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US TO USE THE SITE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ZERO DOLLARS (USD $0), SINCE THE SERVICE IS CURRENTLY OFFERED FREE OF CHARGE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless QR Crafter and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Site, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site at any time if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, posed a risk to the Site or others, or as required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

Changes to the service or terms

We may modify the Site or these Terms. We will update the “Last updated” date when Terms change. Material changes may be communicated through a notice on the Site where appropriate.

Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where your explicit consent is required by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction apply.

Courts in the United States may have jurisdiction over disputes related to these Terms or the Site, subject to mandatory provisions that give consumers the right to sue in their home country.
